I don't have this option " you’ll allow software to be installed" why?

I've been attempting to bypass security settings to allow the installation of a specific software. According to the Apple help page, it should be possible by going to the Security settings and selecting the sources from which software can be installed.

However, despite my efforts, I've been unable to locate this option. In fact, I only see two options available, and I haven't been successful in bypassing the security settings.

Could you please provide guidance on how to proceed in this situation? Thank you.

I have found the best way to run third party apps from unidentified developers is by Right-clicking or Control-clicking on the app and selecting "Open" from the pop-up contextual menu. Sometimes you may need to do this twice before you get a pop-up warning and option to proceed anyway.

I have much less luck using the information in the Apple article @chdsl linked.
