Choosing the best & affordable MacBook

I'm thinking about starting my journey in web development. I need a device that do it all, something that I'll carry for a long time. Don't forget that I'm a student, MacBooks are obviously expensive, I'm ready to spend my money on a device but an affordable one if possible.

It depends on what you want to do with the MacBook.

The MacBook Air is superb, but it lacks active cooling, so if you want to do heavy video editing or heavy code compilation, it lacks of performance due to performance being put down to keep the MacBook cool enough.

The MacBook Pro has active cooling, so it can perform heavier tasks for a prolonged period of time. For simple web developing tho, I guess that a MacBook Air can just be your ticket. Make sure to choose a M2 or M3 chip in your MacBook, the M1 is allready 3 years old
