airdrop from iPad to MacBook

I recently received an iPad Pro for my media club. We already have a MacBook Pro. In trying to air drop videos from my iPad to MacBook, it will not send the video to the Macbook in order for the MacBook to receive it. I have checked all of the settings I know to check. HELP ME please!

iPad Pro, iPadOS 17

Transfer photos and videos from your iPhone or iPad to your Mac or PC - Apple Support

Videos may be too much data to move across, or very slow. It is faster to connect the iPad to the Mac, and open Image Capture on the Mac with the appropriate data transfer cable between the two.

Your charging cable for the iPad acts as a data transfer cable. If your Mac doesn't have the appropriate port, powered hubs that offer USB-A and USB-C pass through of power adapters for Macs that support USB-C exist, as well as AC powered USB hubs for Macs that use Magsafe.
