Problem of Transfer file with Airdrop from iPad Pro M4 to MacBook Pro M1

Hello

I have a problem sending files from iPad to MacBook using Airdrop and I can't send any files from my iPad to my MacBook at all, but vice versa is not a problem.

With MacBook, I can easily send files to my iPad using Airdrop, I can even use Screen Mirroring to cast my MacBook screen to my iPad, but not vice versa.

I followed all the necessary conditions for the file to be sent to Mac using Airdrop, but it still didn't work.

As far as I can tell, the problem is not with my MacBook, because I was able to send files to Mac with my friends' iPhones and send files to them from Mac, but I don't know why it's not like this for iPad.

I enabled Handoff and everything else that was needed, but I don't know what the problem is?

Please help me.

I hope Apple support will take care of this issue.

Hi,

I had the same problem. I was not able to send anything from my iPad Air (2024) or my iPhone (2022) to my Mac, but from the Mac to the devices it was no problem. Not a single one of the suggested troubleshoots found online worked.

Here is what I did which solved the issue for me:

1) Turn off Bluetooth on your Mac.

2) Go to Finder > Go menu > Go to Folder.

3) Enter: /Library/Preferences/

4) Delete files starting with com.apple.Bluetooth.

5) Restart your Mac and re-enable Bluetooth.
