Password reset email sent … wrong email address
guys, if you’d ever received such a message from Apple Store where it says password reset email sent … to YOUR email address and you realise it’s not yours!!!
don’t be worried , if you still can access with your Apple ID, it is most likely that you entered a wrong ID ( similar to yours) and it was in fact somebody else’s ID and that person doesn’t use the account anymore for at least 6 years ( because Apple stoped ID verification via emails and has two factor ID verification now)
so this two things combined would generate such message and it’s not that you think immediately that somebody has received the password reset email from YOUR account … I guess the word “YOUR” email is the issue 😅
the guy from IT support was really trying his hard to explain me this simple issues … got really mad when I asked him for the 10th time why it’s written that it is my email, if it’s not mine 😅 said I don’t understand how the world works and so on … oh man
well I suggested that Apple get rids off this formulation using “YOUR email” statement at least just like they don’t use that email verification messaging anymore actually, just hit a strike accidentally for it to pop
up : I entered somebody’s real ID and that person has not used account for 6 years
maybe I should buy a lottery ticket tomorrow 😅
