Using Final Draft (12.0.9 build 110) on Monterey 12.7.1 and getting: The document “reps.fdx” could not be saved. The file is locked.

At Get Info however the file is marked “You can read and write.” I notice that in the file security and privacy in Settings Final Draft is not offered as an application. There doesn’t seem to be a way to add it either.

Packages from unknown developers Hi I am trying to install a scientific data analysis software package developed by a US academic institute. Before reinstalling macOS Ventura in my laptop, I could install and run this package without a problem. After reinstalling Ventura, OS does not allow me to grant a blanket security exemption for this package. OS asks me to grant an exemption for each and every individual file in the package ("xxx.y was blocked from use because it is not from an identified developer, allow any way?" ). Since the software package contain hundreds of individual supporting files, practically it is almost impossible to do this. Is there a way to grant a blanket exception for the whole package instead of doing it individually for each and every file? MA

installing 3rd party software on new Apple Monterey OS V12.5 In the past I would have to go to the security panel and grant my OS permission to install a 3rd party program. Now after upgrading to Monterey V 12.5, I just get an error "the application un-scan-it gel 6.3app" can't be opened error -47 There is no opportunity to give permission to install.

It's interesting that if I come fresh to the Final Draft document I can save it the first time, but then get the error message a few minutes later when I try to save it again.
