Plantronics V 5200 not connecting or discoverable after iOS 17 upgrade on my iPhone 12 Pro Max

I hope this information helps someone else, because it took me ages to get everything to work!

After upgrading to iOS 17 I couldn't reconnect to my iPhone on Bluetooth with my Plantronics V 5200 head set I've been using for 2 years. I tried turning both off and back on in various combinations, upgraded the firmware on the PV 5200, removed all Bluetooth devices from my iPhone but nothing worked. The iPhone wouldn't even discover the PV 5200 to pair with, and the same thing happened with 2 other iPhones that had upgraded to iOS 17. Yet my Windows 11 computer and an iPhone 8 (not iOS 17) would discover and pair properly so I knew the PV 5200 worked.

Finally I got the PV 5200 to work by restoring to factory defaults using the Windows version of the Poly Lens app (Download Poly Lens Apps) using a USB cable, then switching it off for a few minutes and then back on. Once I did this I switched off the iPhone for a few minutes, then switched the iPhone back on and tried pairing the PV 5200 - which was now discoverable - and I was able to connect.

Anyway hope this helps. It was super annoying and difficult. iOS updates - it's like playing Russian roulette!
