Brand new iPhone 15 Pro Max 1TB Natural Titanium - Dust under 2x of the lenses - New replacement unit, or only eligible for a repair?

Hi!

I just recieved my brand new iPhone 15 Pro Max 1TB Natural Titanium after having waited since preordering on September 14th. Upon opening the box I instantly see that it has a dust particle right in the middle of the middle camera lens, and a tiny one inside the lowest placed one of the lenses.

I bought it through my Carrier (YouSee) here in Denmark, and have now gotten sent to a authorized Apple service point called Care1 here in my city (Aarhus). I was told I could get a brand new, but what if they just want to fix "repair it" rather than giving me a new one? Can I go to a real Apple Retail store despite having bought it through a carrier, and still get a new unit because of factory faults? I really just want a new device because I feel like when I spent so much money on the biggest model as a student, that I need a 100% perfectly built model, and not some kind of cheaply built.

Have you guys experienced the same? Do you have any insights you could tell me about such process? I've never had this happen to me before, so I'm kinda lost... :(

I've attached 2 photos that shows the dust particle. It's right in the middle, so even though I haven't tested too much with the camera, I'm sure it'll show up on the images.

iPhone 15 Pro Max, iOS 17

Yes, you can go to the Apple Store and have this resolved. It doesn’t matter if you purchased the iPhone from your carrier. I recommend that you visit the Apple Store without further delay so that you can get the exchange.
