Message notifications
Have you enabled Scheduled Summary? Enable Immediate Delivery
Settings > Notifications > [Select the App that you are having trouble receiving immediate notifications]
See the pic below for a few examples. Please select immediate delivery.

Go to Settings and tap Notifications. Select an app under Notification Style. Under Alerts, choose the alert style that you want. If you turn on Allow Notifications, choose when you want the notifications delivered — immediately or in the scheduled notification summary.

You can allow access to Notification Center on the Lock Screen. Go to Settings > Face ID & Passcode (on an iPhone with Face ID) or Touch ID & Passcode (on other iPhone models). Enter your passcode. Scroll down and turn on Notification Center (below Allow Access When Locked).

Here are some additional tips for troubleshooting notification problems on your iPhone:

Turn off all focus (DND, Driving, Work, Sleep, Personal, Any other). Open the Control center and see if this helps.
And then turn back the only Focus that you need.
If your family is still receiving texts with the message "notification silenced" when messaging you, it could be due to a few different settings or configurations on your iPhone or iPad. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow to resolve the issue:
Check Individual Contact Settings:
Check Mute Conversation:

SMS and iMessage notifications settings are not different. However, if the recipient has enabled Hide Alerts for a specific message thread then there won't be any sound irrespective of DND
For Hide Alerts please see the pic 1 below. Follow Pic 2 for two scenarios; DND+Hide Alert and Only DND

Pic 2 (Two Scenarios) 1. DND + Hide Alert, 2. Only DND
And is that when you are not receiving notifications on your iPhone? If yes, this is by design and how Apple designed notifications to work. If while wearing Apple Watch, the screen is off on your Apple Watch, notifications will ONLY be delivered to your Apple Watch, not your iPhone. If the screen is on on your iPhone, notifications will be delivered to your iPhone.
Read this link about notifications on Apple Watch and note the very first statement at the top that Notifications will be delivered to your Apple Watch or your iPhone, but not to both --> Notifications on your Apple Watch - Apple Support
If you are wearing your Apple Watch and your iPhone screen is not on, your iPhone is NOT supposed to get notifications. That's how Apple designed it to work. You get notifications on your iPhone or your Apple Watch, BUT NOT BOTH.

You didn't answer my question. Do you not get the notifications when you are wearing your Apple Watch? If the answer is yes, this is by design as the link I provided about Notifications on Apple Watch explains.
See the Support button at the bottom of this page to reach out to Apple for help. Or, if you are in the US, you can call Apple Support at: 800-MY-APPLE or you can schedule an appointment at your closest Apple Store Genius Bar for help in-person.
Do you wear Apple Watch, by chance?

I don’t wear my watch all the time I’m not getting notifications period on my phone I only wear my watch when I work when I get home it comes off and I wasn’t having these problems until they came out with the iOS 17 since them my phone has been acting crazy and also my daughters
Ok thanks I will try that
Yes but I only wear it at work
Most of the time i do but before the updates I would get all of my notifications. I don’t think it’s bc of the watch I really think it’s the updates
An also it doesn’t matter if the screen is on or off I still won’t get them so at this point I give up bc I tired of trying to fix it
I will probably call but they probably got so many ppl calling and complaining about it.
Thank you for your suggestions
I doubt many are calling about this specific issue. I have no issues with notifications on our iPhones with iOS 17.1.2 at all. They're working exactly as they should be working.
O ok well I’m glad your not having any problems maybe mines will get back to normal to
