Mac Studio M2 Ultra - Secondary monitor connection (TBT to Display Port 3rd party cable) - doesn't work

Connecting directly to the Mac Studio back side TBT (USB-C type) ports this does not work.

I also have an OWC Thunderbolt Pro dock. When I plug the Dell U2410 monitor as a secondary monitor using a TBT 3/4 to Display port 1.4 cable, it works perfectly. The connection on the Pro Dock is using the same TBT cable / port.

My primary HDMI connected monitor is an Asus 27" Pro Art monitor. I have read through the Apple documentation on connecting multiple monitors. Neither monitor has a native Thunderbolt connection option; and my higher resolution display is the ASUS using the HDMI cable as my primary.

The Dell is older, but not sure why the Mac Studio won't support it natively from its Thunderbolt port. The cable is brand new and is certified for Thunderbolt 3/4 to Display port version 1.4.

The cable is: Warrky USB C to DisplayPort 1.4 Cable 6FT.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Unfortunately - it didn't work. I also tried different ports with nothing else plugged in. (e.g. NO Pro Dock) - and it is not recognized. The only successful connection has been through the Pro Dock. Ideally I would like to not depend on the Pro Dock for my second monitor (and my "preference" is a Display port connection vs. HDMI - My opinion is the version of HDMI supported is not as "robust" as its Display port version, albeit an older monitor).

Sorry to hear that....

I would test a shorter, different brand of USB-C to DisplayPort cable plugged directly into the Mac Studio.
