CHASE cards need to be added to the wallet manually
OMG - I received a replacement card from Chase, and added it to my wallet via the wallet app. However, it displayed a phone number to call and verify (even though I had already that when I received my card). The phone number was useless and the card wasn't able to be used in the wallet. So, I deleted it, and added it through the Chase website. Same phone number issue. I tried rebooting, signing out of Icloud and continued to have same issue. Chase support was useless and told me they saw the card was in the wallet. I now spent over an hour or two trying to get it to work. And I was getting ******. Was this happening because of the recent upgrade around 11/30/23? This problem was new.
Finally I deleted all my chase cards, and manually re-added them back in, got a proper verification code sent and everything worked.
In essence, adding CHASE cards to the wallet does not work unless done manually.
So word of caution, it might just be easier to manually add cards. Much less headache.
