Can't connect Ventura to Netgear router
I am running Ventura 13.2.1 on one of my three MacBook Pros. I switched my router to Netgear about six months ago. I had no problem connecting my old laptop running an old system to it. I had no problem connecting the laptop that I am using now to Sonoma. My husband has an iMac running the system prior to Sonoma. There was no problem connecting it to the Netgear router. My laptop running Ventura will not connect.
I have checked my settings over and over. The only difference I can see is that my laptop running Sonoma says that my IP address us 192.168.1.10, and my other laptop is 192.168.1.8. All other settings are the same on both laptops. My menu bar says that I am connected to WiFi. When I go to settings, it says I am connected to WiFi. However, I can't access any internet site. So, I can't update Chrome which needs to be updated. I can't update to Sonoma. I can't update my Norton virus.
I have read most of the complaints about others who have had this problem. The only thing I haven't tried is to connect it to my router via ethernet. I don't want to deal with an ethernet cable strung across my living room.
Has Apple come up with a solution for this???
