I have High Sierra 10.13.6 (late 2012) on iMac. I finally retired last year, and thought I'd now try to learn to use Garageband. (my version is 10.3.4).

.but, I see from the App store message to me, the latest upgrades are now "incompatible".

Can anybody advise how I can upgrade my OS to allow more compatible solution for a later Garageband version to be loaded please?

I guess I can't upgrade to Big Sur or the very latest Garageband with my specs if I read it right?

Any help is much appreciated. Thanks. Mike.

Mike, sorry to say, you're correct, Catalina 10.5.7 is the highest OS a 2012 iMac can install, and you'd loose more than gain likely..

And caution on 10.15 or higher, to see which Apps will no longer work in 10.15 get Go64...

Only solution is a newer Mac to get GarageBand... unless you might fiind a used Mac with it installed.
