Recent Itunes update

Do I really need to install this if I only use Itunes for my ipod and to play podcasts, music, and books directly from my computer. No Iphone. This is the message:This update allows iTunes to be used for podcasts and

audiobooks when the Apple Music and Apple TV apps are installed.

Presumably, no.

However, unless you have a specific reason for not updating iTunes, the best practice is to update it. There may be security enhancements that you didn't notice.
