Why does my iPad 4 minis volume go up on its own?

So it’s been prob a few months or weeks since this started, I have researched how to fix this many times. None of the recommendations worked… It’s very annoying when I’m watching something and there are people in the room and the volume goes up. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Are you using a fitted case with your iPad?

If you are using a case, try removing (or at least re-fitting) the case. Some cases can mechanically interfere with the iPad's physical volume buttons.

If you don't have a fitted case, one of the volume buttons might be stuck. In such circumstances you would be best advised to visit the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP) - where the technicians will be able to test and assess your iPad:
