Hdmi audio

I have a MacBook Air when I connect it to my tv thru hdmi it work perfectly unless my computer need an update the. The audio won’t work

is there any way to fix this issue besides updating?

I know it’s easier to update the OS but when we need something put on the tv I really don’t have the time to update at the time.
