Free Apple TV trial

I am trying to sign on the “Free trial” that came with my new iPhone ProMax. It asks to “double click the right side button “ on my iPhone and then, when I do the double click, it starts all over, asking me to click on the free trial

what is going on here?

The double-click of the side button should invoke Face ID for authentication, as confirmation of starting the subscription, replacing the need to type a password. Make sure to minimize the time between clicks, to have it interpreted as a double-click.
