My AirPods are not connecting to the Find My app

So what is happening is that I bought a new phone and started paring the AirPods I wanted to cheek that in the Find my app it is working and is connected but it hasn’t worked when I look at the instructions it says everything is done correctly but I have tried to disconnect it from my phone and it shows in the Find My app but as soon as I connect it it says the AirPods not found but they are next to me

Use of Find My and AirPods:

Was Find My enabled for these through a device? The location shown in Find My is only the location of the device that these were paired with was itself connected to the Internet. This is because AirPods are not Assigned their own IP Address.
