Music not working in iPad

i deleted Music to enable the installation of the latest version of iOS 17.1. Since i have reinstalled, once i start playing a song, Music stops responding to any actions, while the music continues playing. Eventually the music stops playing (at the moment, i have not got past track 3 on The Smile 'A light for attracting attention', when playing the album).


I have to restart Music to regain control, e.g. play a new song, but again, once started, the App becomes unresponsive.


I have tried:

  1. updating to the latest iOS17.1.2, utilising my MacBook (therefore, didn't need to delete anything).
  2. deleting and restoring Music.


I have just started using the Classical app, but this postdated the start of the problems.


Can anyone help? Could the use of the Classical app be causing a problem?
