Dead NFC reader

Hello there !

I have been using my iPhoneSE2 to monitor my glucose level (I’m T1 diabetic) with the NFC reader, but it stopped working about 10 days ago.

Long story short, after running some non-conclusive troubleshooting myself, I went to my local AppleStore and they told me the NFC trader is just dead, and unfortunately since the component is soldered on they can’t repair or replace it without changing the whole phone. Warranty is over by approximately 6 months, so they understandably couldn’t help me more than that.

So, do you guys think there’s anything I could try on my own ? It’s really a bummer for me since I’m using it as a medical device (sort of), so I’m really open to any exotic suggestion.
