Q: No Genius Results for Recent Purchases

For the past several months I have had issues with Genius where all recently purchased music from the iTunes store is unavailable in my Genius mixes. Looking through my purchased music I have noticed that all music purchased before 4/15/10 has genius results but all my music purchased after does not. I am also assuming that the issue is not based on a lack of similar songs as the Black Keys Attack and Release album has results but Brothers (purchased after 4/15/10) does not. I have turned genius on and off, updated iTunes, and updated my genius results, all to no avail. Anyone have any ideas what might be causing this problem?

Similar thing is happening to me. I buy the song on my iPhone and then sync with iTunes when I get home. Update genius results and I can then create playlists in iTunes. However, no matter how many times I sync, I cannot get the genius playlist feature to work on my iPhone for these recently purchased songs.

Anyone have any answers?

Same problem here - I'd only pinpointed it to approximately April, so nice work on honing in on the exact date. Yeah, none of my songs releases after April work to create a Genius playlist or show up in other Genius playlists. Yo, Mac - what gives?! It's been six months!

I'm having the same problem here. I've patiently waited for 4 months now for an album that was in the top 10 to have genius results so I can include it in my playlists.

Genius is an awesome feature when it works!

I'm having this same exact issue. Anything released in mid to late 2010 does not work with genius. Doesn't matter if it's a major release (Janelle Monae, Arcade Fire) or an obscure one. Any help?

Still experiencing this with many newer songs. I'm getting very limited results with some songs, specifically Boom Boom Pow by the Black Eyed Peas. But newer stuff, like new BEP and Far East Movement (both very popular), get no results. Genius is way too cool of a feature to not work. I use it on my iPod Touch all the time! Please help!

I have been having the same problem. Seems like it started around the time they introduced ping. Thought it was just that the genius wasn't updating at all, but older cd's that i have recently loaded into itunes work just fine.

Having this same problem with all newly downloaded music--all relatively mainstream. Black Keys, Janelle Monae, and more. Tried all the tricks named here. Frustrating that this has been a problem for awhile and there hasn't been any response.
