Series 8 iwatch
My control display has disappeared. When I swipe up, I get a small clock face day and dare, and 3 icons. I just want to be able to swipe up and silence my watch

Control Center has moved to the flat oval button on the side (see picture)
Use Control Center on Apple Watch - Apple Support
A quick press and release is all you need.
DO NOT hold the button, as that brings up the Emergency services display.
