Second Resident Location Issue

HI, I'm having this issue for a couple of months now, I think after upgrading to tvOS 17 and homepod 17.

Problem

I have the Aqara Camera Hub g2h Pro linked in my home app. This works perfectly fine if I'm the only one in the home app, but if I add my girlfriend as a resident the camera stops understanding that when we are both out the home it should activate the camera. If I remove my girlfriend when we are both out, the camera changes to stream as soon as I remove her, so seems to be something related to her account or configuration.

My settings

Hubs: Homepod mini + Apple TV 2nd Gen

Me and my girlfriend have location service enabled and our iPhones are the location device.

The camera in the Aqara app works fine.

In the home app camera settings I have: When somebody arrive Stream is off, when all leave Stream and Record.

Things I tried

  • Restart homepod.
  • Restart apple tv.
  • Removed home (from home app) and created it again and link all devices again.
  • Removed 2nd resident and invite her again.
  • Remove Camera from Aqara app and linked again.
  • Remove my girlfriend, uninstall her app and delete the data, invited her again.

Nothing worked.

I wonder if there is a way to debug or see logs of what is trying to understand what and why.

SOLUTION

I went to my girlfriend iPhone, to her contact card and added our address there.

It seems that Apple uses that to calculate if you are at home or not.
