Unhappy with iPad engraving, can I get the back of it replaced?

I'm regretting my engraving on my ipad and was wondering if it were possible if I can pay to send it in to get the back of it replaced.

An iPad does not have a replaceable back. iPad has a single-piece "unibody" construction. All components are affixed to the body - as is the screen.

As the iPad does not have a fault or other defect, if you don't like your engraving, your only option is to replace the iPad - at full cost. If the iPad itself had a fault, you might consider Apple's fixed-cost repair - the cost of which for your iPad in your country/region can be established here:

iPad Repair & Service - Apple Support

For practical purposes, in lieu of repairing and returning your own iPad, Apple usually exchange the iPad for a renewed/refurbished iPad of the same model and specification. The cost of the exchange is the same as would otherwise be charged for repair. Unless you have benefit of an active AppleCare plan, an out-of-warranty repair while expensive will be somewhat less than the cost of a replacement iPad.
