How to sync email passwords across devices

Hi,

I had to change my email password on my iMac the other day and now I am not able to send email from my iPhone.

I have entered the new password on my phone and also did a new iCloud Backup a few minutes ago, but no go.

Any advice?

eMail sync Can I sync a working email account on my iPhone to my MacBookPro? The account works on the iPhone but when I got a new MacBook, the account info did not transfer over and I do not remember the pass word to set it up on the MacBook.

I solved my own problem. My new email password automatically synced to my phone for incoming mail, but not for outgoing mail. So, I went into settings and updated the outgoing server password with then new one.
