Can I glue an airtag to a powerbeats pro case

I am on the 3rd Powerbeats pair because they can’t be tracked. I have wasted money on the Apple EarPods because 4 of those got lost. Now I just want to know if I glue an airtag to a powerbeats pro case will it affect the function of it?

I was trying to find a case with an AirTag attachment to it but I only found the smaller Beats Pro one. Not the bigger Powerbeats pro.

Both the Beats PowerBeats Pro and the AirPods earbuds are supported by the Apple Find My Network system ... but neither's charging cases are.

You can certainly try attaching an AirTag to the case, but like Androish has already mentioned, you will need to be careful that you are getting the benefit vs. any potential inconvenience/damage caused to it by doing so.

When you happen to misplace your Beats, are they still in their charging case, or are you saying that you are only losing the case itself?

they are still in the case and I can not find them via find my. It is to the point I am about to start purchasing the much cheaper wireless headphones. This is ridiculous how Find My doesn’t work on them. It doesn’t even show the last known location. The same thing with one of my phones. I put a claim in and never heard back from them. Still no phone and still paying the darn insurance with Apple.

I gave my husband a pair for Christmas 2 years ago he waited to open them until 6 months ago and the right one doesn’t work. So the warranty is up the AppleCare is up and now he has a brick because he refuses to use 1 earpiece.

sorry for the rant. As far as the AirTag if it goes on the outside it will be able to be detected and found anytime it is around an iPhone right? I could pick it up on the map. Or the find my will notify me of it’s location?

I understand about the warranty and that sucks too because they really need to figure out a way to fix this problem. Or make a case for these like there is a case for the Beats Pro that has an AirTag attachment on it.

... and that is one of the conditions where Find My will not work.

The others are:

  • You enabled Find My on your iPhone BEFORE they were lost or stolen.
  • The Earbuds are still charged.
  • They have not been reset.
  • They are within Bluetooth range of your, or someone else's iPhone.

The most likely reason the pair you gave to your husband would not work is because lithium ion batteries need to be, at least, partially charged. If they are not used, over an extended period of time, and become fully discharged, they may lose their ability to be charged. This is NOT unique to Apple / Beats products.
