I'm not familiar with MovieMator but each of the others apps you mention are still available, but will need to be updated. In some cases this will mean a new purchase, this is certainly the case with the Office apps. I know of no software issues migrating to the new chip. Perhaps you will find one, most likely you won't. But, if you're running a 9 year old Mac then there will be changes to the OS and the apps from what you're used to. These are usually incremental but may feel like a big step when you upgrade.

Apologies for the too broad question. I'm moving from a 2014 iMac to a new 2023 one. I use it mostly for graphics using Graphic Converter, MovieMator, GIMP, and various photo retouch and conversion apps. My wife uses it in her administrative work using most of the MS Office apps, Cisco web meetings, Skype, Zoom, etc. I'm wondering if any of that might be a problem in the switch to apple chips. We got burnt pretty good when the PowerPC shift came along, and so I guess I'm having the equivalent of "flash backs". I haven't seen a list of software issues. Is there one, or is the problem more or less non-existent?
