Transferring licensed software via migration assistant to a new Mac

Mainly, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Google Drive.

Will the licenses transfer over ?

Do I have to deinstall these applications on the old Mac, or can I still use them?

You have two potential issues. First, the version of Adobe software which was transferred must be compatible with the new computer's operating system. If not, it must be updated to a more current version. Second, you may have to use your original activation number to reregister the software in the new computer. So, check with Adobe on how to proceed. Only they can tell you precisely what to do.

Thanks for your response! That makes a lot of sense. Since I am Migrating from a intel based to an M2, it may be worth installing new versions.

What I failed to consider is file permissions with Migration Assistant. When I ran the initial Setup Assistant I created a new user that doesn't match my old Mac. Is there a way to Backtrack and create a user identical to the old Mac, Or should I create an additional user with an identical user name as my old Mac, hopefully eliminating permissions issues with the files that I migrate? Does this scenario have a potential downside?
