Macbook M3Pro recognizes HP 27mq monitor via HDMI but not via thunderbolt adapter

I am doing dual external monitors, both HP 27mq. As of now I have one directly plugged in via HDMI and it is recognized by the computer and has full resolution. The second goes into a USB-C/thunderbolt adapter and that one limits resolution to 1920x1080 (vs the full 2560x1440 of the one plugged in via HDMI).

Is there a good thunderbolt to dual HDMI adapter that I can get so that both monitors are recognized at their true resolution? I hate to just start buying adapters and find that it isn't the correct solution.

Thanks,

Jamie

That's actually the one I have.

After thinking about it for a bit, I realized that when I first connected both monitors they both showed up correctly. I had switched the HDMI cables for the new ones that came with the monitors. I switched back and everything is working fine now. I guess I got a dud HDMI cable.
