Trouble with Apple TV subscription

i have a promotional subscription to Apple TV, but following a password change ,I can't access it on my PC. it lets me sign in, then keeps asking me to sign up for a free trial. The subscription shows up in subscriptions in settings on my phone, and I can watch it there.

Apple TV+ says I'm not subscribed I'm on a 6 month free trial, it was working fine 3 days ago, but now when I launch the apple tv app, it says I'm not subscribed at all. I checked my phone, ipad, and apple tv, and they all say the same thing. I made sure I was logged in (earlier today while I was watching netflix on my apple tv, an apple login prompt popped up - i thought it was weird, so I dismissed it at the time), using the only account I have (which is therefore the account I subscribed to atv+ with), I even changed a purchase setting so it would prompt me for my password again, but even after providing the correct password, apple tv+ still says I'm not subscribed. I tried clicking the "try it free" button, hoping that would get the system to realize I'm subscribed, but no luck. It tells me my subscription will expire in 7 days (not the 5 months I have left on my free sub), and then takes me back to the "try it free" screen. In fact, the tv app isn't even listing any of the shows I watch on other services like it normally does.

If this is for the website access to tv.apple.com, then please try removing all website data (cookies) for the apple.com domain. Then try again.
