Yes***

*Only if your 2014 Mini originally shipped with an SSD or Fusion drive.

**Even then you will also need a M.2 to Mac SSD adapter (such as made for 2013-2015 Macbook Air/Pros).

Have you considered using a 2.5" SATA SSD? Those work with fewer asterisks.

@padams35 is correct that your Mini only has a standard 2.5" hard drive installed. You will want to get a 2.5" SSD.

Again, Samsung EVO SSDs have a mixed success rate with various Macs.

It appears you can install an OWC Aura NVMe SSD for faster speeds. OWC includes the extra hardware needed to use a blade style OWC Aura SSD (read the fine print & footnotes in the picture of the OWC product page).

To further extend @padams35's excellent post, I would recommend only using the Sintech SSD adapter. From reading this form for years, this seems to be the most compatible & reliable adapter.

Also, keep in mind that not all SSDs are compatible with all computers. Samsung SSDs, especially the EVO series, seem to have mixed compatibility....again from what I've read on this forum. Also, IIRC, there was some sort of general issue with the 970 Evos, but I'm not certain. You may want to research the 970 Evo in general.
