I just ordered a simple wired ear pod (buds) for my new ipad and they do not fit in the slot. The Amazon Apple store and the description specifically said it was compatible with Ipads 10. Do I need an adapter of some sort? Thank you for your help.

uhm? The end of the usb-c looks round. The wired headphone I received is flat. Should I get the usbc-c to a lightening adapter instead?-
