iTunes songs not authorized on ipad

I purchased an album and 3 of the 10 songs won’t play on my iPad. Error message says songs are not authorized. All 10 play on an iPod touch I still have and the main iTunes library. What’s happening with the 3 non-playing songs?

Usually when that happens for just a few songs it means the song file(s) got corrupted somehow on the device. Delete the song(s) on the device and redownload them. The redownloads should be free from the iTunes Store.
