Basic checks:

  1. Restart your phone: This often resolves minor software glitches and can be a good first step.
  2. Check for software updates: There might be a bug fix update available that addresses this specific issue. Go to Settings > General > Software Update and check for any available updates.
  3. Verify Do Not Disturb is off: Make sure Do Not Disturb is not enabled, which would silence incoming calls. Go to Settings > Focus and ensure that all Focus modes are disabled.
  4. Check your network connection: Ensure you have a stable cellular or Wi-Fi connection. A poor connection can sometimes lead to call issues.
  5. Confirm call forwarding is disabled: Call forwarding could potentially be sending calls to another number. Go to Settings > Phone > Call Forwarding and ensure it's turned off.

Additional troubleshooting:

  1. Reset network settings: This will reset your network configurations to default, which can sometimes resolve connectivity issues. Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
  2. Check for third-party app interference: Certain apps, like call blockers or security apps, might be interfering with your phone's ability to receive calls. Try temporarily disabling any such apps to see if it resolves the issue.
  3. Force restart your phone: This is a deeper restart that can sometimes clear out software glitches. The method will vary depending on your phone model. Search online for specific instructions for your device.
  4. Contact your carrier: If none of the above solutions work, contact your mobile carrier for further assistance. They might be able to identify specific network issues or suggest advanced troubleshooting steps.
