undoing message disable and delete

I am attempting to undo message disable and delete inside ‘manage account storage’ However, when I attempt to click on ‘undo disable and delete’ nothing happens. I am not given any other options and the messages do not reappear on the iCloud back up account. Any advice or recommendations?

iCloud Messages: Accidental "Disable All" shows 0KB storage Hi, I was setting up a new Mac for which I did *not* want to sync my messages. So I set up the computer and turned off iCloud syncing. However, when doing so, I accidentally picked the "Disable All" option instead of "Disable This Device." I immediately went to turn it back on, but it seems that it started the process to clear out my iCloud messages. Now it's the next day. When I check on my iPhone (which does have iCloud syncing), if I go in the "Messages in iCloud" section, I see: Manage Storage: 0KB Keep Messages: Forever In iCloud: 241,400 messages Status: synced yesterday at 2:07am This is concerning because although there are a bunch of messages in iCloud, the reported storage is 0KB (empty) but I know I used to have 70GB of messages. I am worried this means that iCloud has queued up the deletion of my messages and that they will be cleared out within the next 30 days. Pressing the "Sync Now" button does nothing. It's still stuck at "synced yesterday at 2:07am." How can I cancel the deletion request? Or if that's not possible, how can I back up ALL of my iCloud messages onto my iPhone so that I can later re-upload them onto my iCloud. (Currently my iPhone says it has 3GB used for iCloud). Thanks!

Undo Disable and Delete isn't working I used "disable & delete" and now I can't "undo disable & delete. When I go to icloud, messages, and then "undo disable & delete" and all I get is a popup that says "turning on...." and then the screen freezes. I've done this several times and same result. I can not get icloud to revert back to "undo & delete" for my messages. I have 27 days until it is deleted from iCloud. Any help is appreciated.

How do I clear 20,000+ messages stored in Messages in iCloud Hi everyone, looking for help with an iCloud Messages sync issue. I recently discovered that my iCloud was showing 20,000+ messages stored in Messages in iCloud. I wanted to clear them, so I did the following steps: Signed out / removed every device from my Apple ID at https://account.apple.com/account/manage/section/devices → I only have one device now logged into my Apple ID (my iPhone 17 Pro Max). On my iPhone, I went to Settings > iCloud > Messages and selected Disable & Delete. I also went into Messages > Recently Deleted and cleared everything there. In Settings > iCloud > Manage Storage, the Messages section now shows no messages stored (32MB total used, no messages listed). So far so good. The problem: As soon as I turn Messages in iCloud back on (Settings → iCloud → Messages → Use on this iPhone), it immediately starts syncing and shows 20,000+ messages again — even though: There are no other devices signed into my Apple ID I have already deleted and cleared recently deleted iCloud storage shows no Messages data remaining I definitely have not sent 20,000 messages in the last 30 days It appears that something in Apple’s iCloud servers is restoring an old copy of my message history, even though no device should be supplying that data anymore. Screenshots (summarized): Apple ID Devices → Only 1 device listed (iPhone) Messages in iCloud → shows “Syncing with iCloud” and 20,580 messages iCloud Storage → “You have no messages stored in iCloud” Question: How do I completely reset / purge iCloud Messages data so that it does not automatically restore these 20,000+ messages when I re-enable Messages in iCloud?
