need help messages on mac not sending
Not sure why my mac wont send or receive messages
iMac 21.5″, macOS 11.4

Messages requires that your iPhone have proper settings to allow sending and receiving from/to your specific Mac, which of course must be logged in with the same Apple-ID. After changing settings, a Restart of one or both devices is sometimes needed.
In addition, messages to non-Apple device are LITERALLY sent through your iPhone, which must be powered up, within reach of cellular service, and be subscribed to a plan that includes messaging.
