MacBook showing icon that it is charging even when not plugged in to power.
Hi, If you have a MacBook Air or Pro that says it is charging without being plugged into any outlet or charger. It has the filled in lightning bolt in the battery sign in the corner, but then when you click on the battery it says "Battery Is Not Charging" and now when you actually plug it into a charger, the laptop will not charge. Even when you have tried both restarting and shutting down the device and each time you turn it back on the same issues persist.
The solution which I got at an Apple Certified repair shop is to let it die completely since the battery will be going down when you use it, after 3 days when the Mac has completely died you can plug it on power it will charge normally again. My MacBook Air 2019 also had the same problem it is fine now, no need to Reset SMC because in other MacBooks it does not work.
