The wifi connection on all my other devices - MacBook, iPhone, tablets, windows laptop is fine, however my Mac mini keeps dropping wifi, which significantly impacts development time and is a massive pain!
Does anyone have any recommendations to help?
Finally solved!!!
The issue is because the Mac mini is connected to 5 GHZ!!
When I switch the wifi settings to 2.4 GHZ the Mac mini works perfectly!!!
Googling this issue, a lot of people have reported Mac mini wifi problems and dropped connections...probably because of the aluminium case on the Mac mini and because the wifi card is at the bottom at the back and 2.4 GHZ has longer waves which are better suited to going through thick walls and other solid objects at longer distances?
I had a wifi extender and only put it only on the 2.4GHZ band and kept that in the same room as the Mac mini and only connected to the wifi extender which sped up the connection even more!

You know, I have a Mac Mini M2 Pro here that is continuously connected to a 5GHz 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6) SSID and it never drops a connection. Admittedly, the mini's radio hunts continuously dropping to 172 Mbps and then rebounding to 1600 Mbps and all interim bandwidths. That is Apple's choice of radio vendor, not my router, which is a premium Synology RT6600ax router with latest firmware and that router is 20 feet away behind drywall.
If possible, try relocating the router on the Mac side of that brick wall, and while you are at it, stand the mini on its side with the bottom facing in the direction of the router. That is what I have now.

Good to hear, similar situation, got 2 walls in between, one dry wall and one brick wall, router around 30 feet away, maybe it’s the brick wall it’s struggling with?
Yes, 5Ghz + brick walls = very limited range everywhere. Can’t be fixed with extenders either, stick to 2.4.
Actually the extender really helped, as long I keep the extender on the 2.4GHZ band it significantly speeds up connection
