OneDrive App not working on Mac Mini (M2 Pro) running Sonoma 14.1.2

The OneDrive App is unable to retrieve files from the OneDrive cloud on the new Mac Mini (M2 Pro processor). I demonstrated this to Apple Support both from my home and at their store Genius Bar. They have no explanation and they asked me to call Microsoft. (The exact same thing works just fine on my Macbook Air running the same OS (Sonoma 14.1.2).

When I talk to Microsoft, they obviously tell me it is an Apple problem since the remote files can be accessed on the cloud and the fact that I am able to retrieve them on my Macbook Air.

I have no way of escalating this problem at Apple. Apple Support simply shrug their shoulders and say they can't help.

At this point, I am left with no option but to move to a different cloud storage against my will. I am disappointed with Apple for not being more proactive about resolving this with Microsoft.

Good news, I finally got it working on my Mac Mini! Interestingly, it sorta had to do with your comment about "fully uninstalling" the previous version.

In the past attempts, I would move the OneDrive App to the Trash (and even reboot) before installing a new version. That alone didn't do it. This time I actually went into the Library location where the OneDrive files were being stored and I deleted everything in the library having to do with OneDrive (including the data). I then reinstalled the App from the AppStore. It re-synced the data with the cloud and then everything started working correctly. Apparently, the original copy of the data on the Mac mini was corrupted.

Thank you very much for your response!

I am currently running the Microsoft version on both my Mini and my MacbookAir. I actually downloaded the Apple version too on my Mini. It complained that I was using a different version of OneDrive elsewhere. When I ignored that complaint and went ahead, I still didn't work right. So neither version of OneDrive works on my Mini as long I have the Microsoft version running on my MacbookAir.

The only combination I haven't tried so far is using the Apple version of OneDrive on both my machines. I will do that today and share what happens.

Thanks again!
