Can't access AFP or SMB from other Macs/PCs (Mac Mini M2)
I just purchased a new Mac Mini M2 8GB 256GB.
I set a folder to be shared over the network from an external SSD.
The samba address is smb://192.168.50.125
The Windows 11 PC and MacBook Air see the network name MAC-MINI-M2 but every time I try to connect to any shared folder I'm met with a warning to check spelling or that there was a problem connecting to the Mac Mini.
When I try to map a network drive on the Windows 11 PC Windows doesn't even recognise a drive at all.
The firewall on the Mac Mini allows for SMB incoming connections and Stealth Mode is not enabled.
I can SSH into the Mac Mini from bothe the MacBook Air, and Windows 11 PC, I'm also able to access the SMB folders from the File app on my iPhone. Also, in Finder on the MacBook Air "Network" I'm able to connect to the Mac Mini, this problem appears to be isolated to connecting to shared folders via both AFP and SMB. For example, In Finder I select GO>Connect to Server>smb://192.168.50.125 and I get an error message that the server is unavailable.
And yes, File Sharing is enabled, and also SMB is also enabled, and the network address is correct.
I've searched for an answer but can't seem to find one that works.
The Mac Mini and Windows PC are connected to an ASUS RT-AX88U router via Ethernet, and they are connected to the internet. There is no port blocking enabled on the ASUS router.
Any ideas?
