m2 macbook air serial number is "invalid" and is not showing up in "my devices" list in iCloud anymore

I got a refurbished M2 macbook air(directly from apple) and it no longer shows up in the my device list in iCloud. the serial number also comes up as invalid every time I try to check my coverage.

1st image shows how the correct serial number comes up as invalid

2nd image shows how to device is visible in the iCloud tab in system preferences but is no where to be found in the support app or apple store

3rd image shows how only my iPhone is visible on the Apple Store/support apps
