I wanted to clean my MacBook Pro (a1708) fan so I opened up my MacBook and I disconnected the battery, after the cleaning I plugged it back in and now my MacBook only works when its connected to the charger because he doesn't recognise the battery anymore, before this the battery was draining fast so maybe it has something to do with that? can someone please help I want it to work. because someone gave it to me as a gift.

The connectors are easily damaged along with the pins.

You can always open it back up and determine if the connection is well seated, and /or damaged.
