iOS 17.2 update issues

Ever since I updated I can’t check my email. It just spins on checking mail unless I power down my phone and restart- I have to do this all day to check mail and often it happens when trying to go on the internet as well. Is my only option uninstalling my email? I actually tried but it was stuck on deleting email spin for so long I quit.

I had the same issues on my iPad (iPad Pro 2020 model) after updating to iOS 17.2. My iPhone (15 Pro Max) updated and worked OK.

I went into Settings>Mail,

Went to the impacted account,

Toggled off the "Mail" switch,

Closed out off Settings,

Opened the Mail App (obviously the mail account was no longer present),

Closed the Mail App,

Re-opened Settings>Mail,

Went to the impacted account and toggled on the "Mail" switch,

Closed out of Settings,

Re-opened Mail App, it re-established itself and worked correctly.

Now to see if the fix actually sticks.

We have our phones controlled by BB UEM....we had 400 users update to 17.2, possibly 10%+ were affected by a blank inbox. We deleted the the Apple email app, downloaded it and then went Settings > Mail > Accounts > (select email account that is having trouble) > Toggled Inbox to on. Opened the email app and it worked. I will try just the toggle next time and report back

I was having the same issue - updated to iOS 17.2 on iPhone 13 Pro and screen is blank when I open the email app. When I swipe up from the bottom to close the email app, the email screen comes back for a moment, then I touch the email app to go back to it and the email app closes completely.

Went into Settings > Mail > Accounts > (select email account that is having trouble) > Toggled Mail to off, closed settings and rebooted my iPhone and the problem seems to be fixed.

Fingers crossed!

It's definitely 17.2.1

I'm having problems with my work exchange email. First it was only showing emails from 2022, then no emails were showing. I've done all the suggestions and have the emails updated, but now when I tested it by sending an email from my icloud account to my work account the iphone just shows "checking for mail..." I know it was sent because I can see the email on my work computer.
