copy and paste into body of gmail

when I copy text and try to paste it into an email on my iphone, the "paste" appears, but when I tap it, the email simply closes. I am back to the main screen on my phone. This used to work before.

Its odd because I CAN paste into the title line of the email, but not the body. Help please!

iOS Mail App Does Not Wrap Text?! Hi Apple! When responding to emails on the Mail App (iPhone), the typed text continues way further than the width of the screen, which results in me having to scroll horizontally to re-read what I've typed. No other app (gmail, outlook, etc.) has the same issue. It's extremely frustrating. I've had the same problem on different software versions and various iPhone models. I've Googled for a solution, and I can see complaints about the same thing dating back to 2016 that have still not been addressed by Apple software engineers... PLEASSSEEEEE can you do something about this?! So many people have the same complaint. Any feedback/solution would be greatly appreciated!

Mail icon for gmail isn’t showing on iphone I had to do a phone reset and ever since then my Gmail is not showing the number icon for new emails would’ve come through. I’ve tried all the suggestions and tips and nothing has worked. I saw a post on here that suggested going into settings, notifications and badges but that did nothing can anybody help? Thanks

i would start by updating the Gmail app from the appstore.

After that’s checked, try and reboot your phone:

settings / general / shut down.

Then power it back up and test again.

Now Try and paste a simple word and see how it does.

Sometimes a good restart is all the phone needs.
