device not showing when trying to automate

I have the bulldog valve shutoff through Hubitat. I see it in HomeKit as a water valve. I can control the Bulldog in HomeKit no problem. The problem is that it's not open/recognizable to automations. I can not get it to show up in the room it is in. So far I can't use my Aqara leak sensors to trigger it to turn off. Does anyone have a thought on how to get it to work in automations in HomeKit or why HomeKit doesn’t see it when trying to automate it?? Hubitat says it's a HomeKit thing. It is the same way in the shortcut app. Thanks

the second pic shows it not in automations to choose it. Even if I try to make a shortcut it is not there.
