5g not working in iphone 12

5g not available in iphone 12 even after doing all the necessary steps and checking at the same location where i got 5g in iphone 13 pro with the same Jio sim. iOS version is 17.1.2 which is up-to-date.

Go to Settings/Mobile Data/Mobile Data Options and make sure you have chose 5G. 5G On will limit the phone to 5G, and 5G Auto will use either LTE or 5G depending on the current data demands, because LTE uses much less energy.

Also, verify that you don’t need a carrier settings update→Update your carrier settings on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Can you get 5G on another phone concurrently with not connecting on the iPhone 12?

I checked by using the same sim in another iphone inorder to confirm if the sim and the 5g plan was okay and i was able to use 5g in that iphone 13 pro and not in my iphone 12 which still shows 4g LTE in the same location which it showed 5g in iphone 13 pro.
