Second hand MacBook from bankrupt company howto remove activation lock

I legitimate bought a second hand MacBook pro with M1 chip. But unfortunately the activation lock is still active so i cant use the MacBook Pro. The old icloud email is and employee of the bankrupt company, so thats a dead end. I have the invoice with serial number but got the denied email from Apple on my request to remove the activation lock.

Any ideas howto remove the activation lock?

Regards

Without assistance from the person or entity who holds the Activation Lock, you don't remove it.

Apple will only help you release Activation Lock in very narrow circumstances – such as you being the original buyer and having proof of purchase that satisfies them. It sounds like your case doesn't qualify – especially since you say that they denied your request to remove it.

Is the bankrupt company still in operation? (Some types of bankruptcy involve reorganization, not going completely out of business.). If so, then contact them, and ask them to remove the Activation Lock and to properly prepare the MacBook for a new owner.

If you can't contact them – or they refuse to release the Activation Lock or to give you your money back, you have a brick. Recycle it responsibly.
