If I unsubscribe from Apple Music, Will I lose all of my music from Apple Music even if I have been paying for many years?

im talking about all the music, even if you’ve downloaded them onto your phone? I have been paying for over 3 years. I would hate to lose all the music I have accumulated especially when I’ve paid a lot of money to keep that subscription going.

I don’t understand the answer that’s given about buying music and you keep your songs… I haven’t seen anything to buy music on the app. by “buying a song”, isn’t that the same thing as paying for the subscription?
