MacBook Mail How to change the sidebar font

The sidebar with favorites in the Mail app is too small and too faint.

Once again, the font bar is off to the side on Mail It happens from time to time, and I notice others have had this problem. Now it's back again and I can't figure out how and why it got fixed last time. The font bar (not to tool bar!) is shifted over to the right, nearly off screen on _reply_ emails. Going full screen didn't fix it, re-booting in safe mode didn't fix it and, of course, you cannot access that line in the "customize toolbar" menu because it's not part of the toolbar (it's the line _below_ the toolbar on a reply window). Here's a picture: Any help would be appreciated. Mail Version 16.0 (3731.400.51.1.1) macOS 13.2

Mail 16.0 Font choices and text color selections missing from toolbar This was a problem before software update last night, but not corrected. Both font selection, and color selections for text &/or background of text, missing from toolbar, and not in optional add-ons. How can I get them back? Mail 16.0 OS 15.0.1
