Hi 👋

Anyone have problem with after update on 17.2 with Siri accessing Health data. I have IPhone 13 Pro Max and I can see option in my Health app to add access to Siri.

Thanks

I had same issue but now it’s working.

  • Make sure your Language settings in Siri & Search is English(American)
  • Then go to Siri voice and make sure variety is American and Voice 1-5 are downloaded.

Same for me. I am in Canada. Apple support had no idea about this problem when I contacted them which is pretty bad if there was a known geographic limitation. Instead they had me jump through lots of hoops resetting stuff and unpairing my watch and all kinds of things that took time to restore then they just disconnected me. Great support. Then I found out it does not work outside of US.

I first just changed it to English(American), still didn't work as of Apr 7, 2024. I added every voice (1-5) on the same day, and it finally started working. I really shouldn't have to change to those specific voices or even English(American) - up until today I used English (Australian, Canadian, & every other version of English) with no problem in other applications.

Should this be a bug report?

I have the Apple Watch 9 and accessing health data via Siri only pulls up the Activity Circle. I tried those questions suggested in Apple's Newsroom update (link at very top of this page), 99% won't work and Siri reply asking me to open the Health app instead.

Regarding the option in Health app asking access to Siri, I did not see such an option but did turn it on in Priacy & Security under Settings on my iPhone 14 Pro.

Initially when I asked for help at the Apple Store, the staff there said they can only deal with hardware issue, leaving the software problem to Apple Support via phone communication. So if enough users have the same problem report to them, may be they can look into issue further on. With holiday coming just around the corner, I doubt this will be resolved before the New Year.
